Zoe Williams: Glazing
Updated: Sep 12, 2018
Zoe Williams joined The Turnpike Pottery to support us in glazing the clay which has been fired.
We started off by looking at some of Lindsey’s artwork to see what the work would look like when it was finished, as she explained that it sometimes hard to know what the glazes would turn out like.
We had a go at using the glazes ourselves on our slab work and the other finished pieces, food and objects. We began by carefully choosing the colours, but as we got more involved the glazing became more abstract and expressive. This included glazing some of our food pieces in unnatural and unlikely colours!
