Paloma Proudfoot: Slip casting
It was great to meet Paloma Proudfoot today, who rolled up her sleeves and joined the Turnpike Pottery this Friday to teach us about slip-casting, a way of making pots, bowls and mugs using liquid clay in moulds. It was especially enjoyable to see our designs emerging from the moulds - some worked, some didn't, and we just kept going!
We also had fun adding to and modelling further elements for the other sections of our work, including making giant fortune cookies for the banquet.
