'What I want more than anything else' is a public art project by London-based artist Mark Titchner, involving individuals aged 13-25 from across Burnley, Wigan and Hull, where he posed the question, “what is it that you want more than anything else?”

Varying in size and form, a series of new artworks represent the voices of seven young people, aged 12-17 from Wigan. Using their handwritten responses to the question, the artworks consist of large-scale banners, flags, library screensavers, window vinyls, murals and screen-based works that are exhibited across Wigan & Leigh. The Turnpike is host to four major works. Other locations include: Wigan Grand Arcade Shopping Centre, APCOA Car Park, Wigan S.T.E.A.M, Library Street, Wigan Library, Wigan Market Hall, Newbridge Community Learning, The Old Courts, Leigh Sports Village, The Turnpike, Leigh Library and WigLe Dance.

In Wigan and Leigh, What I want more than anything else by Mark Titchner has involved: Bethan Griffiths, Kyle Johnston, Olivia Taberner, Ryan Robinson, Saxon Kaye, Sophie Wareing and Thomas Barton.

Part of Networked Narrative, this project is commissioned by FACT, in partnership with Hull Culture & Leisure Library Service, Inspiring healthy lifestyles and Lancashire County Council.
